  • Rajasthan - Cheheri Dance - Performed during full moon by tribes of Rajasthan. Dance indicates how the ladies of tribes with the fire on top of pot they go to collect water.


  • Gujarat - Dandiya. Performed during Navratras, A festival Mata Durga for nine days.


  • Punjab - Bhangra. A famous dance realated to farmers during harvest or Baisakhi.


    • Indian Classical Dances


  • Bharatnatyam : Dance is originated from the state of Tamilnadu from very ancient times. A very famous classical dance form. Famous all over the world.
  • MohiniAttam : Dance from state of Kerala, performed in festival s in kerala. A beautiful white or Ivory traditional saree is weared by performer during performance and white flowers rounded in one side of hairs in head.


    • Village FOLK Dances


  • Lamp Dance : Dance performed during Shigmo festival and based on gymnastic skills performed by man and woman. Traditional lamp is taken on head and balanced through various body movements. Very famous dance among Goan village dances.


  • Ghode Modni [Horse dance] : This act is performed during Shigmo festival all over Goa. Beautiful and traditionally rich costumes are used by performers with horse effigy. Performed by Man and in dance they are known as Warriors of yesteryears.


  • Jagor : Folk drama form and performed throughout whole night in some parts of Goa during Jagor festival. Long wooden planks are tied to the legs and dance is performed.


  • Veerbhadra : As per mythology Veerbhadra is son of lord Shiva born from matted hair when godess parvati jumped in to pit of sacrifices. With long matted hairs, long mustaches bending upward, red angered eyes and with his devotees he dances saying Ta... Thayya...Ta Ta Thayya.

    DUKANJI - MUSTACH DANCER - LIMCA RECORDS AND SHABBAS INDIA FAME.

    As shown in photo he wears colourful costumes designed by himself and with the help of yoga he had developed his face muscles so that he can make dance his long big mustaches on beat of song along with lighted candles on it.
